The beloved Emma Lee Jones, 78, was born on June 5, 1946, to Arthur Jones, Sr. and Annie Mae Evans, who preceded her in death.  On March 1, 2025, surrounded by love, she transitioned into her final sleep.  She accepted salvation early in life by way of Mary Springfield Baptist Church.

She lived a full life unapologetically and on her own terms.  Her love for music, excitement and fun led her to the love of her life, Illya (Yokie) Anderson, who had gone before her.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved son Wilbur Jones; brothers, Arthur Jones, Jr., Sam Gray, Jr., Howard Evans, Jr., James Larry Evans, Crayton Jones, and RC Jones; stepsister, Mary Jane Cunningham.

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.

She leaves the torch of her legacy to be carried by sons, Derrick Jones and Jeffery Jones; daughters, Cynthia Jones, Gwen Walker and Sharon Jones.  She has three other generations filled with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild who will continue living her legacy.

She is also survived by loving brothers, Donny Ray Evans, Sr. (Patricia) and Joe Lee Evans (Lois); sister, LurLene Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Though Emma is no longer with us, her light will forever shine bright through those she left behind.
